In 2022, I undertook a self-directed motion graphic design project, focusing on creating a series of animated videos showcasing the cities I have visited and hold dear. Specifically, I chose Amsterdam and Seoul for this project. Each video in the series is 45 seconds long, meticulously crafted to capture the essence and unique charm of these vibrant cities.
The primary goal of this project was to produce animated videos for YouTube, designed to introduce and highlight the beauty and attractions of Amsterdam and Seoul. By sharing these videos on YouTube, I aimed to provide potential visitors with a visually engaging and informative preview of these cities, inspiring them to explore and experience these destinations for themselves.
Through this project, I sought to combine my passion for travel with my expertise in motion graphic design, creating content that not only showcases my skills but also serves as a valuable resource for travelers.

Creative Process
In my creative process, I begin by conducting thorough research on the cities to determine the content for my videos. Next, I develop storyboards to outline the overarching concepts. The creation of illustrations follows as a pivotal step in my workflow. Finally, I use After Effects to bring the videos to life.
Throughout this project, I independently crafted each element, excluding the background music, which features Tobu’s “Candyland.”
